“This is an amazing convention. It is so exciting to have all the folks here together—people from universities, people who study the issues, the lenders and also the students who are amazing. As I've wandered around and had a chance to talk to some of the students, it is so clear that students have high dreams, right? They really want to achieve so much. But how do you actually get from where you are now to having gone to a place, found a good program, and made the right decision? It can be overwhelming and challenging… There's so much about the process of paying for college that's a mystery and that doesn't make sense but here you have that space to connect and try to get answers to the questions that need to be answered. I'm so happy to be here!”
Dr. Laura Perna
Vice Provost for Faculty at PennGSE
We had an opportunity to meet several students. One of the things that I thought was amazing was the energy that came. The GradRight team, by the way, was amazing because they took so many questions. We wish we could have a little bit more time to answer all the questions because there were so many of them coming in. But the big takeaway for me was that the hunger is there! The idea that GradRight brought students, universities, and the learning institutions in the same space was brilliant.
Benjamin Manyindo
Director, Masters Programs Martin Tuchman School of Management, New Jersey Institute of Technology
I think technology plays a pivotal role in democratizing the education loan sector. A deserving student should get the loan at their doorstep at their fingertips. And if that happens, that is what we are building for the country and economic growth, because education should not be based on which family you are born into, education should be solely based on what you deserve, what is your passion and your willpower to get ahead in life and get yourself educated.
